The Rugby League Gold Coast Season is about to kick off, with the 2018 Season Launch held on Wednesday at Parkwood International. Great to see all our clubs represented in their club polos, 2018 sponsors and special guests.
It was a great opportunity to introduce our new and welcome back our existing sponsors for the 2018 season. A Grade, Doug Lipp Cup, Under 19 Naming Rights Sponsor ‘Queensland Traffic Offenders Program’ (QTOP), Debbie Marzella Cup Naming Rights Sponsor ‘Kennards Hire’, Under 6 to Under 17 Naming Rights Sponsor ‘Queensland Traffic Education Program’ (QTEP), Silver Sponsors Sheetmetal Improvements and Burleigh Bears Leagues Club and Bronze Sponsor Power Sports Trophies. The launch was a great chance to highlight our naming rights sponsors with players in the competition.
Former QLD State of Origin Player Adrian Vowles hosted the 2018 Season Launch, with special guests and speakers SEQ Finance Director Terry Sessarago, Titans General Manager of Football Anthony Laffranchi, A Grade Coaches Stuart Wilkins (Burleigh), Ryan Gundry (Currumbin) and Nick Gleeson (Runaway Bay), Junior Representatives Israel Higgins (Currumbin), Reece Walsh (Nerang) and our Rugby League Gold Coast Board.
“It is a later start than usual with the Commonwealth Games here on the Gold Coast, but we are all looking forward to the season ahead,” Rugby League Gold Coast Chairman Peter Daley said. Daley thanked everyone with special acknowledgement to all our sponsors for attending the night.
